Murray Kaufman came from a show business family: his mother, Jean, played piano in vaudeville and wrote music and his aunt was a character actress on the stage and in film. He was a child actor-an extra-in several 1930s Hollywood films. He attended a military boarding school, and later was inducted into the United States Army where he arranged entertainment for the troops. Murray the K reached his peak of popularity in the mid-1960s when, as the top-rated radio host in New York City, he became an early and ardent supporter and friend of The Beatles. He resigned on the air in December 1964 (breaking news about the sale of the station and the change in format before the station and Group W released it) and did his last show on February 27 prior to the format change that occurred in April 1965.

Four game show contestants who broke the Guinness World Record for most consecutive wins on a TV show have now taken home a grand prize of £. million. The group of four men, known as 'The Wolves' won a jackpot of £. million after answering all 15 questions in the final round on the Spanish TV show Boom! That money was added to the £. million they had already won on their record-breaking stint that first began in May 2017. However, in February 2019, one of the original members of the group, Jose Pinto, left the show and he was found dead from natural causes on his sofa almost a month later. In their latest win members of the group could be seen hugging each other after their jackpot win and Valentin said: 'We have won our freedom and our peace and we have to use the money sensibly. The show is broadcast on weekdays by 'Antena 3' in Spain and has been running since 2014.
