Jive Talkin' was the lead single from The Bee Gees’s album Main Course. The original song title was Drive Talking. The rhythm of the song was modeled after the sound that their car made while crossing the Julia Tuttle Causeway every day from Biscayne Bay to Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida. The song was also the third track from the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever. When the single was released to radio stations, it was delivered in a plain white cover with no indication about what the song’s name was or who sang it. The deejays only found out what the song was and who sang it after it was placed on the turntable.
