Panic of Girls is the 9th studio album from Blondie over a span of 37 years; their last release was the highly critically acclaimed "The Curse of Blondie" in 2003. These fine crafstpeople are no slackers. In between, Deborah Harry has spent several years with a jazz outfit from NYC, the Jazz Passengers and has had a pretty impressive solo career realeasing her 4th studio solo album a few years back, another album I really love, "Necessary Evil". The lead single is "Mother" - Debbie's anthemic salute to one of her favourite hangout spots in NYC, the now defunct "Mother" nightclub. The musicianship and production on the album is probably the best Blondie has ever sounded; only to be topped by those incredible haunting angelic vocals that Ms. Harry has obviously nurtured and developed over the years.
