The Signal is the debut solo album of German singer Sandra Nasic, lead singer of the alternative-rock band Guano Apes. Although this album's genre is alternative rock, it contains many pop and electronic elements. All lyrics written by Sandra Nasić. Sandra Nasić - Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Keyboards. Christian Neander, Godi Hildmann, Patrik Berger, and Steve Lironi - Guitars. Martin Helms, Klaus Knapp, Steve Lironi, Patrik Berger, and Christian Neander - Bass. These small pieces are made on a costum-build MIDI-controlled organ. The organ consists of 62 wood and tin pipes. Sandra Hofmann obtained her MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Basel, Switzerland in 2002. After a scientific visit to Prof. David Kaplan’s lab at Tufts University in Boston, she completed her PhD (with distinction) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich in 2007, working on 'silk fibroin as a biomaterial for drug delivery and tissue engineering'.
