The Man-Machine (German title: Die Mensch-Maschine) is the seventh studio album by German electronic music band Kraftwerk, released in May 1978. It includes the singles "The Model" and "The Robots", and also "Neon Lights". Upon its release, the NME stated: "The Man-Machine stands as one of the pinnacles of 1970s rock music.
The Man-Machine is closer to the sound and style that would define early new wave electro-pop - less minimalistic in its arrangements and more complex and danceable in its underlying rhythms.

The Man-Machine, released in 1978 was their fourth album since they sprung to international attention on the release of Autobahn, and while it's not the one most readily associated with the band, there's a strong argument for saying that it's the one which actually best summarises the band for any new listener to Kraftwerk
