Crack the Sky is an American progressive rock band formed in Weirton, West Virginia in the early 1970s. In 1975, Rolling Stone declared their first album "debut album of the year", and in 1978, Rolling Stone Record Guide compared them to Steely Dan; their first three albums charted on the Billboard 200. The band has never achieved great success outside the Baltimore area. Despite this, they continue to release albums and perform to a small but devoted fan base to this day.

This was actually a very good album by Crack the Sky, after John Palumbo had rejoined the band. The second half contains songs from their 4th CD, "White Music". I may be a little biased cause I grew up in . these songs were all over the radio, and they fit right in with the early 80's. They include Poptown, Skin Deep, All American Boy, Hot Razors in my Heart, and Techni Generation.

Their first album "Crack The Sky", released in 1975, was declared album of the year by Rolling Stone magazine, and contained such "cult" hits as Ice, Hold On/Surf City and She's A Dancer. Unfortunately, it never got promoted very well, and failed to catch on with the public. White Music is the fourth studio album by American rock band Crack the Sky, released on LP in 1980 by Lifesong Records. It was the first release from the newly reformed Crack the Sky, whose lineup included only two members from the original band. In 2001, a remastered CD of White Music was released (Lifesong LSCD-7001). It included four bonus tracks: a 2001 re-recording of "Hot Razors in My Heart" by Palumbo and his son Ian, a demo version of "Poptown", and two outtakes-"A Girl Like Mom" and "She's So Clean".

BORZOTA
I had this on vinyl my senior year. Crack was a cult fave in Baltimore back then. Years later I found a copy at the radio station where I worked and recorded it onto cassette. I honestly do not remember It's Singles Time being on this. Can anyone verify or help?
Anaginn
I know this is old, but yes it is on there as The Radio Cries (It's Singles Time). Side one track 3.
