Twain wrote A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court after his famous stories Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, and while it keeps the fundamentally American voice that marked those two tales, this book found a fresh new target to throw that voice up against.
Connecticut Yankee movies tend to follow the plot of Hank falling in love with a lady or a girl, and we’ve seen it a lot in the Kid one and the Young Connecticut one, and even the Spaceman etc. But in 1989 we have a little girl going back in time and they gave her zero love interest (ALSO she is a child) so we see her building a relationship with Guinevere and Arthur and helping them. Same for Knight in Camelot, Morgan is a scientist and she is mostly interested in helping the people of Camelot.

I saw that the last chance had the best show, but I didn't waste any bother about that; time was too precious
