Tanghetto released their first album, Emigrante (electrotango) in 2003. It was inspired in the economic crisis that Argentina was facing back in 2001 and also in the feelings of distress generated by the massive exile of many young Argentines, that decided to flee from their country, in a desperate move to find a future. In late 2009 after their first big tour in Brazil, they released a new studio album called Más Allá del Sur which was also nominated for a Carlos Gardel Award, this time in 2010. In 2011 they released their album VIVO (live around the world) which was recorded during their last two tours. The album also includes a cover version of "7 Nation Army" from The White Stripes and an electrotango version of the song "Computer Love" by German electro pioneers Kraftwerk.

Tanghetto released their first album, Emigrante (electrotango) in 2003. Buenos Aires Remixed reached gold status in early 2007 and became their second platinum album later that year. In 2005 they released their first controversial video "Tangocrisis", with images of the Argentine economic crisis.
In November 2009, Tanghetto released "Más Allá del Sur", a new studio work in which the band reaches a balance between tradition and innovation, acoustic sound and electric, danceability and listenability. Tanghetto never was so close to the tango roots, and nevertheless, they carry on their task of renovation of tango music. Más All. as nominated in 2010 to the Gardel Awards as best World Music Album. 2010 has been a very active year for the band, touring to showcase the newest studio album Más Allá del Sur with sold out concerts in theatres all over France during March, and other European dates in Holland, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. In August the band returned to Europe to play in the Latinomericando Expo, the world's biggest Latin Music and Culture Festival, sharing the program with big artists such as Toquinho, IntiIlimani, Daniela Mercury and Gilberto Gil.
Más Allá del Sur is Argentine electrotango band Tanghetto's third studio album (or fourth if taken in consideration Hybrid Tango, a side project). The album was released in November 2009. In 2010 the album received a Gardel Award nomination.
Vivo is the first of two studio albums released by Argentine electrotango band Tanghetto. It was recorded during the El Miedo a la Libertad and Más Allá del Sur tours from 2007 through 2010, in different cities in South America, North America and Europe. During the 2007 European tour, Tanghetto was interviewed and performed in the BBC World Service.
