Jorge Ben is the self-titled sixth studio album by Brazilian singer-songwriter and guitarist Jorge Ben. It was released in November 1969 by Philips Records. The album was his first recording for a major label since 1965 when his first stint with Philips ended due to creative differences. Ben recorded the album alongside producer Manoel Barenbein, the vocal/percussion band Trio Mocotó, and an orchestral section arranged by José Briamonte and Rogério Duprat
Under the name Konntinent, London-based experimental musician Antony Harrison created a startlingly unique brand of guitar-based drone music that took in elements of Raster-Noton-style glitch, atmospheric post-rock, and Radiohead-like abstract pop songwriting. The year 2010 saw the release of Arev Benn, a limited tape on Sweat Lodge Guru, and a split CD-R with Fonogram on Awkward Silence Recordings, as well as the bright, trippy Down with Candy on Debacle Recordings and Opal Island, his debut for . Opal Island was his most focused work to date and was well-received. Following this album, Harrison released a noisy album under the pseudonym Arev Konn, and started Paco Sala, an experimental pop project with vocalist Leyli, which released two cassettes and two LPs on the Digitalis label.
Ben is the ninth album by Brazilian artist Jorge Ben, released in 1972. The album has one of Jorge Ben's most famous songs, "Taj Mahal", and "Fio Maravilha", paying homage to Flamengo's iconic striker Fio Maravilha. The case was "settled amicably" according to Ben. Stewart admits "unconscious plagiarism" of Ben's tune in his 2012 autobiography. All songs composed by Jorge Ben.

Opal Island, the new album by London's Konntinent, would fit nicely on a Venn diagram with fellow drone artists Emeralds, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Black to Comm. The primary overlap point would be a knack for microscopic detail. Using an array of oscillators, arpeggiators, and crazy sounds you can't easily place they gather errant scraps of instrumentation and noise into uncanny wholes. But when we say "drone," don't think dark and dense- this is lively, diverse music. Jansson's Temptation.
Fragezeichen) (German for "Question mark") is the second album by German pop rock band Nena and the third studio album to feature its lead singer, Gabriele "Nena" Kerner. It was released on 27 January 1984, just a few months before the band's first international album 99 Luftballons, which contains songs from their debut album Nena (1983) and this album, some of them re-recorded with English lyrics. Like its self-titled predecessor, this album was produced by Reinhold Heil and Manne Praeker of Spliff.
